    UC Irvine Targets RFID Degree


    According to News.com, the University of California Irvine is developing an certificate program focused on radio frequenty identification (RFID). In an interview with News.com Stefano Stefan, an assistant director for the school's continuing education series, said that the courses may be available as soon as the winter quarter of 2006. RFID technology allows for the tracking of items via radio tags, and is being adopted for tracking packages, shipments, parts, and even people.
