UCI, Unisys Collaborate On Software Development

UC Irvine and Unisys are collaborating on software development research, the two organizations said this week. Unisys said that it was in a collaborative research agreement with the University of California, Irvine Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences to explore development of requirement- and rules-driven software. Unisys will support a research team that is developing software to view critical linkages between business processes and IT infrastructure. The research will be directed by Debra J. Richardson, dean of UCI's Bren School and professor of Informatics, alongside Professor Thomas A. Alspaugh. Unisys said that it intends to incorporate advances from the project into its own technology products.
