United Online Shuffles CEO, Again
Woodland Hills-based United Online announced this morning that it has named Jeff Goldtsein as a new, interim CEO for the company, replacing Howard Phansteil. Phansteil--who had only been CEO since November 18th--has resigned, although he will continue as a director and Chairman of the Board for the company. Goldstein was the former President of PriceGrabber, which he had led from April 2013 until its sale to Connexity last June. He also served at strategic advisory service BGT Capital Advisors, and served at Modern Luxury Media, Experian Interactive/LowerMyBills.com, and IAC/Interactive Corp., in addition to serving at Lehman Brothers, Pillsbury, Madison & Sutro and Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. United Online has been in the midst of a strategic review of its business, after an unsolicited takeover attempt by B. Riley.
