Userplane Expands Plug-in Support
Santa Monica-based Userplane, which provides widgets and other software for online websites, said Tuesday that it has expanded support for a number of third party blogging and other content management software platforms. Userplane said its Webmessenger, Webchat, and Webrecorder applications are now available VBulletin, WordPress, Drupal, Mambo, Joomla and phpFoX, software used to maintain blogs, run web message board, and for other web content management. Userplane's applications are used for instant messaging, chat, and for recording and sharing voice messages. Plug-ins are software applications specifically designed to connect into third party applications, which are integrated with features of those applications. Userplane is a unit of AOL.
