    Userplane Rolls Out Chat Component

Santa Monica-based Userplane, a developer of web-based tools for online community web sites, said this morning that it has unveiled a new "Minichat" embedded application, which shows current chat activity taking place in Userplane's Webchat tool. The new embedded widget can be placed on any web page to show live conversation in Userplane's chat application. Userplane, which is a subsidiary of AOL, provides its Webchat applications as a free, ad-supported application which web publishers can use to enhance their web sites.
