ValueClick Expands Paid Search
Westlake Village-based ValueClick has rebanded and expanded its paid search services with the launch of ValueClick Search, a result of its acquisition of Search123 and its Simpli premium search network. According to the company, the new Simpli brand will offer publishers the ability to enhance search functionality on their sites, including search boxes, branded directories, and customized toolbars. The new service allows publishers to sell placements on their own search results, and also make those available to partners. The new service comes in conjunction with access to ValueClick's Search123 self-service paid search network, a service which attracts traffic through search engines, web portals, and content sites. Search123 acquired the Simpli search engine technology from United Online in 2002.
