Verdezyne Names New CFO

Carlsbad-based synthetic chemistry technology developer Verdezyne said this week that it has named David Kelsey as its new Chief Financial Officer. Kelsey was previously CFO of Elevance Renewable Sciences, and also served at Sealed Air, General Electric, and GE Capital. He also serves on the board of Granite Construction. Verdezyne is venture backed by BP Ventures, DSM Venturing B.V., OVP Venture Partners, Monitor Ventures, and Sime Darby. Kelse replaces former CFO Brian Conn, who the company said left back in February.
