Carlsbad-based Veredezyne--which was formerly known as CODA Genomics--said today that it has received a $1.7M grant from the National Institute of Allergy And Infectious Diseases (NIAID). The firm said the grant, which lasts for 1.5 years, will be focused on developing technology tools for synthetic biology. Verdezyne is venture backed by OVP Venture Partners, Monitor Ventures, Tech Coast Angels and the Life Science Angels.
