Verizon, Movielink Launch Broadband Movie Download Service
Verizon Communications said yesterday that it has launched a new co-branded movie download service with Marina Del Rey-based Movielink. The new service allows Verizon DSL and FiOS Internet Services customers to access and rent Movielink's full library of titles. Verizon said that the movie downloaded service is the latest in a series of licensed content offerings it now offers, including an online music store and games. The Movielink service allows users to download full length movies to their hard drives, for replay later or for immediate viewing. The service allows for unlimited playing of a movie in any 24-hour period, and you can download and store those movies for up to 30 days before playing the movie. Movielink also has co-branded stores with Southwest Airlines and others.
