Verizon Gives $500,000 For Ventura County Technology Center
Telecommunications firm Verizon has awarded $500,000 to Thousand Oaks-based Discovery Center for Science and Technology, a project to establish a science and technology museum in Ventura County. Verizon said that the grant will go towards the creation of of "Verizon Community Clubhouse" to feature cutting-edge technology developed in Ventura County. The Discovery Center is in the midst of fundraising for the $45M center.
