ViaSat Wins Deal With Northrop Grumman Australia

Carlsbad-based satellite broadband provider ViaSat has been selected by Northrop Grumman Australia, as part of a deal to create a new, satellite communications network for the Australian Defence Force (ADF), the company announced this morning. According to ViaSat, Northrop has selected the company as a key partner to deliver a next-generation satellite communications (SATCOM) network to the Australian Defence Force (ADF), as part of the ADF's Joint Project 2008 Phase 5B2. Financial impact of the defense contract win was not announced.
