Mojave-based Virgin Galactic has set up shop in a new location in Long Beach, saying Thursday that it has opened up a new, 150,000 square foot facility at Long Beach Airport, where it intends to fill a significant number of open positions at the company. Virgin Galactic expects the location to work on its LauncherOne effort, its project to launch satellites into space. Virgin Galactic said it will be holding an open house on March 7th as part of a career fair at the new location. Virgin Galactic has been developing commercial space flight vehicles, which it has initially aimed at the space tourism area.
