    Visual Sciences Acquisition Gets Early Clearance


    Web analytics providers Omniture and Visual Sciences said Wednesday afternoon that the the waiting period for the firm's acquisition deal has ended early. Omniture is looking to acquire Visual Sciences in a deal worth roughly $372M. According to the companies, the early termination of the waiting period under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976 (the HSR Act) was granted by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission. The deal is now expected to close in the first quarter of 2008. Visual Sciences is based in San Diego.
