Vitesse Expands Diagnostic Feature
Camarillo-based Vitesse Semiconductor said MOnday morning that it has expanded a diagnostic feature on the firm's line of 10 Gbps devices. According to Vitesse, it has added the firm's VScope oscilloscope features into the firm's VSC824x family of clock and data recovery devices. The new features add the ability to view signals being received by its chips, which are used to improve the quality of optical and electrical signals on high speed, 10 Gbps optical networks. The access to the diagnostic information is being targeted at allowing carriers and data center operators to verify the signal quality of their networks.
