Camarillo-based Vitesse Semiconductor, the developer of networking semiconductors, said today that it has added 30 new product solutions to its portfolio so far this year. The firm develops chips used in Carrier Ethernet and enterprise networks. The firm said the ramp comes as it has begun focusing its R&D efforts on adding carrier features to enterprise and public networks, and specifically aiming at Carrier Ethernet standards. The firm has been making up lost time, after distractions related to the industry-wide stock options probe back in 2006, and a subsequent reorganization of the company and its executives.
