Vivendi Games Buys Two Game Studios

Los Angeles-based Vivendi Games has acquired two game development studios, the company said this morning. Vivendi is buying Issaquah, Washington-based Secret Lair Studios, and Shanghai, China-based Studio Ch'in. Financial terms were not disclosed. The two firms will become part of Vivendi's Sierra Online division. Both firms will be focused on new platforms like Microsoft's Xbox Live Arcade. Vivendi said that the purchase of Studio Ch'in is subject to approval by the Government of the People's Republic of China.
