Irvine-based storage products provider WD said this morning that it has added two new products to its line of Arkeia backup appliances. WD said its DA1300 and DA2300 appliances are both aimed at the small- and medium-sized business market, and offer all-in-one backup and disaster recovery. The DA1300 uses an Intel Atom dual core processor, and the DA2300 Intel Xeon processors, with the DA1300 aimed at the entry-level market with support for 4TB to 8TB. The DA2300 supports 8TB to 16TB of storage capacity. WD acquired Arkeia back in January.
