    Websense Locks Down Removeable Media

San Diego-based Websense has released a new product targeting removable media such as memory sticks, CD/DVD drives, and compact flash memory cards. The new Client Policy Manager and Web Security Suite software scans and blocks malware, and can also now be used to prevent the usage of flash drives, CD/DVD burners, floppies, and external hard drives on client workstations -- a key security vulnerability point. The lockdown feature prevents data being written to and from those devices.
