    WebVisible Raises $12M


    Irvine-based WebVisible announced that it has raised a $12M, Series B funding round for the firm's local advertising services today. The round came was led by Sutter Hill Ventures, and also included prior investor Redpoint Ventures. The firm said that Sutter Hill's Jim White joins the firm's board of directors alongside the funding. WebVisible develops software and services used to help small and medium sized businesses buy local online advertising; the firm has partnerships with The McClatchy Company, British Telecom, AT&T, the Yellow Pages Group of Canada, and other yellow pages publishers to help automate online advertising buys for their customers.
