Western Digital Acquires Upthere

Irvine-based storage products maker Western Digital, said on Monday that it has acquired Redwood City, California-based Upthere. Upthere is a provider of cloud-based photo, music, video, and document storage services, aimed at the consumer market. Financial details of the acquisition wer enot announced. Upthere's storage platform, which works on iPhone, iPad, Android, macOS, and Windows, will become part of Western Digital's Client Solutions business.
