Western Digital Rolls Out Gigantic 400GB microSD Card

Irvine-based Western Digital said this morning that it has rolled out what will be the largest, microSD card available in the world, a new, 400GB memory card, from its SanDisk brand. The new microSD card--which was rolled out along with a number of other product announcements from the company--is double the capacity of Western Digital's largest, previously available card, which was 200GB. The new device is specifically aimed at use in mobile devices and tablets. 400GB is enough to hold up to 40 hours of full, HD video, according to Western Digital. The new card has a retail price of $249.99.
