WhisperText Gets $3.0M

A stealthy, Santa Monica-based startup, WhisperText has raised $3.0 from what looks like a number of high profile investors. According to a regulatory filing from the company--which develops an iOS app that allows users to share their secrets and meet new people--the company involves such people as John Hadl (founder, chairman of Total Beauty Media); Jeremy Liew (ShoeDazzle, Lightspeed Venture Partners); and Brad Brooks (TigerText). No details on the funding or company have been announced. The filing indicates 22 investors participated in the funding. WhisperText released its app on March 22nd. More information »
