WiSpry Wins Smart Antenna Project
Irvine-based WiSpry, a developer of RF semiconductors, said today that it is a part of a team that has won an $8M contract being funded by Denmark's High Technology Foundation. The firm said the Smart Antenna Front End (SAFE) project was won alongside antenna specialist Molex Interconnect, and chipset leader Infineon Technologies, and will go towards developing tunable antennas and RF front-ends based on its RF technology. The firm said the goal of the project is to develop antennas and front-end technology platforms for the next generation of mobile handsets and media devices. As part of the win, the firm said it will establish a technical presence in Aalborg, Denmark.
