    World Mahjong Tour Gets Funding


    Los Angeles-based World Mahjong Tour, a new startup founded by Pierre Wu of Click2Asia and David Wang of World Poker Tour, said Tuesday that it has raised a Series A round of funding. Amount of the funding was not disclosed, however the round came from Leo Chu, owner of the Hollywood Park Casino and Crystal Park Casino. The firm said it will provide both offline and online mahjong tournaments and other Asian games. Pierre Wuu was founder and CEO of Click2Asia, which is an online Asian dating website; David Wang was Vice President of Online for the World Poker Tour (WPT), the Texas hold-em poker tournament operator which is also broadcast on Travel Channel.
