Wrapal Launching New Marketplace For Film Locations

A new, Playa Vista-based startup, Wrapal, said this week that it is about to launch a new marketplace which will make your property--your home, business, apartment, or any other location--the potential star of an upcoming feature film, television show, or commercial. According to the company, it is launching its service on May 6th, which will help filmmakers find locations where they can shoot easily. The company--which compares itself to an "AirBnB for film"--said it will let any owner list their locations for filming, and let filmmakers browse those properties for their next project, and lets owners set their own prices and even provides insurance from Lloyds of London for filmmakers who use those locations. The new startup was founded by Brian L. Tan "BLT", Melissa Nemcek, Aaron Weiss, and Derek Sherwood.
