X1, WebMessenger Deliver X1 Desktop Search for Blackberry

Los Angeles-based firms WebMessenger and Pasadena-based X1 Technologies said today that the firms have partnered on delivering X1's Desktop Search product to RIM BlackBerry mobile users. The Mobile Search Client for X1 allows users to search and retrieve email, attachments, contacts, and file contents from a remote desktop PC running X1 Search via any BlackBerry mobile device. The client is expected to be released later this year, for purchase from both WebMessenger and X1 Technologies. X1 Technologies is an Idealab-backed startup, and recently started providing the desktop search technology for Yahoo!.
