X Prize Foundation Sells Seats To Lunar Lander Challenge

Los Angeles-based X PRIZE Foundation, the organization behind the X PRIZE spaceship cup, said Wednesday that it will offer tickets for sale to the public for the upcoming $2 million Lunar Lander Challenge. The Lunar Lander Challenge is designed to encourage private companies to develop possible lunar lander designs. The two day event will be held in New Mexico in October. The events are open to the public, and entry fees are a modest $10 for adults and $5 for children and students. The X PRIZE foundation was behind the Ansari X PRIZE, and now is running a number of competitions in the area of space, the environment, biology, and other fields.
