XCOR Names New CEO

Mojave-based space vehicle developer XCOR Aerospace announced this morning that it has named John H. (Jay) Gibson II as its new CEO and President. Gibson takes over the position from Jeff Greason, who has become Chief Technology Officer of the company. Gibson was most recently at aircraft maker Beechcraft Corporation, and was also Assistant Secretary of the United States Air Force and Deputy Under Secretary of Defense in the Office of the Secretary of Defense. XCOR is in the midst of developing rocket-powered vehicles for developing people and payloads into space.
