Xencor Raises $45M
Monrovia-based Xencor has raised $45M in a new round of investment, the firm said today. The round came from MedImmune Ventures, Novo Nordisk, and HealthCare Ventures, as well as existing investor Zen Investments. Xencor said that the funding will be used to advance clinical development of its biologic drug compounds. The round included the $6M bridge the firm landed in July. The round of funding brings Xencor's total venture capital raised to $130M.
