XIMETA Announced Partnerships With Set Top, Multimedia Companies

Irvine-based Ximeta ( announced today that it has signed strategic partnerships with Sigma Designs and Syabas, to add its network storage technology to digital media players and set top boxes. Sigma's reference designs for its video processing chipsets will feature Ximeta's NDAS device driver and compatible operation. The company also said that its drivers will be compatible with the Syabas myiBox solution, which allows people to use PC-based music, movies, and photos from their living room. The Ximeta technology allows consumers to access storage of files over a network without requiring a PC.
