Xirrus Raises $20M In New Funding

Thousand Oaks-based Xirrus, a developer of Wi-Fi networking hardware, has raised another $20M in funding, according to a regulatory filing from the firm today. Details on the new funding have not yet been announced by the company. The filing indicates that Nasr Khaled of Alta Partners has joined the firm's board along with the funding. Xirrus has previously raised funding from US Venture Partners, August Capital, Canaan Partners, and QuestMark Partners. Xirrus develops Wi-Fi hardware which combines multiple access points into a switched platform, and is used to provide higher bandwidth and better coverage than standard Wi-Fi access points.
