Xirrus Rolls Out Free Wi-Fi Software

Westlake Village-based Xirrus said today that it has launched a new set of free, Wi-Fi tools for Windows Vista. The venture-backed developer of Wi-Fi access points, said that the software will allow Windows Vista users to monitor laptop wireless settings, search for local Wi-Fi networks, along with other wireless network tools. Xirrus is a developer of a Wi-Fi array, which combines multiple access points into a single device. The firm is backed by August capital and U.S. Venture Partners.
