XYZ: No Banned Terms List, No Chinese Censorship

Los Angeles-based domain name registrar XYZ has responded to the controversy over a Wall Street Journal editorial that claimed that the company was implementing Chinese censorship rules across all of its domains, saying that there are no restrictions on registering a .xyz domain, and that there is no "banned list" it is enforcing from China on its domains. In a open blog post, CEO Daniel Negari said that the articles, initially published in the Wall Street Journal, had "inaccurate information" regarding its accreditation in China. Negari said that "nothing on any existing .xyz domain or future .xyz domain will be censored by the registry."
