ZEFR Picks Up Staff From BetterWorks, Expands In London

ZEFR, the online content provider formerly known as MOVIECLIPS, and which recently expanded into sports content, has picked up a contingent of engineers from BetterWorks, and opened up an office in London, the firm said Thursday afternoon. ZEFR, which is headed by Zach James and Richard Raddon, said that it has appointed Daniel Adams as Vice President of Business Development, International, to head up its new London office; in addition, the company said it has acquired two engineers and a product managers from BetterWorks, bringing its total team of engineers at the company to thirteen. ZEFR is venture backed by U.S. Venture Partners, aMK Capital, Shasta Ventures, SoftTech VC, First Round Capital, Richmond Park Partners, and others. The firm recently raised a $18.5M Series C funding, which it said it would be using for international expansion, such as the new London office it announced today. ZEFR is based in Venice, California.
