Zetera, Marvell Collaborate On IP Storage
Irvine-based Zetera said yesterday that it is working with silicon provider Marvell to promote reference designs for its IP-based storage networking protocol and device. The compay said that the reference designs feature Zetera's Z-SAN products and Marvell's Orion processors. Zetera is targeting small and medium sized businesses looking to use low cost IP hardware to network their storage. The company has developed its own proprietary IP protocol that it believes is more cost effective and easier to implement than the industry's current focus on the iSCSI storage protocol.
