Zogenix Raises $60M
San Diego-based Zogenix has raised $60M in a Series A financing, the firm announced this morning. The company received funding from Clarus Ventures and Domain Associates, along with additional investors BA Venture Partners, Thomas, McNerney & Partners, and Life Science Angels. The funding will be used in an acquisition of migraine treatment technology from Hayward, California-based Aradigm Corporation. Zogenix has purchased Aradigm's Intraject subcutaneous delivery technology to Zogenix. The firm plans to develop and commercialize the product.
