Zya Dangles Record Deal, Cash To Users

Do you have what it takes to score a major label record deal? Zya, the mobile music game developed by Music Mastermind, said Friday that it will offer players of the game an opportunity to win a recording contract and $10,000 in cash. According to Music Mastermind--which is based in Calabasas--its new contest will provide $10,000 in cash, tour performances on DigitTour 2015, and a record contract with Emblem Records for players who submit their songs--based on the originality of their songs, plus popularity of those creations on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and other social networks. Zya is a music game which lets users remix popular tunes, and add their own voice or sounds to create original creations. The company's CEO and fo-founder is Matt Serletic, the former CEO of Virgin Records. Embled Records is Serletic's own record label, and has signed such acts as Matchbox Twenty, Rob Thomas and Gloriana. Music Mastermind is venture backed by Intel Capital and Liberty Global. Serletic also has worked with such acts as Collective Soul, Cher, Aerosmith, Joe Cocker, Celine Dion, Courtney Love, and others; he launched Music Mastermind back in 2010.
