Anaheim-based ZyXEL has launched a new line of voice-over-IP adapters. According to the company, its Prestige Series Voice over IP (VoIP) analog telephone adapters is targeted at SOHO, SMB, and home VoIP applications. The devices allow any analog telephone to be plugged into a broadband connection, and is being marketed to IT service providers. The company said that its product supports standard Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) operation.
