Activision Blizzard Launches Training Program

Santa Monica-based videogame publisher Activision Blizzard said late Monday that it has launched a new, 12-week long training program, which looks to train and development professionals for engineering roles. According to the company, the new program, Level Up U is aimed at both people within and outside the game industry, to prepare them for full time engineering roles at Activision and Blizzard. The company said the program is part of a $250 million investment announced last October to accelerate opportunities in gaming and technology for under-represented communities. Activision Blizzard said 104 people will participate in the first program, with 40% of the class representing underrepresented ethnic groups and 45% women and non-binary participants.
