Amazon To Start Running Ads On Prime Video

Amazon will start running ads on its Prime Video service, a major shift in how it has been running its online video streaming efforts--unless you pay $2.99 a month. According to Amazon, it will start running ads on its formerly ad-free service starting in "early 2024". The company said the Prime Video shows and movies will include "limited advertisements", and it will not be changing the overall price of Amazon Prime. Much of Amazon's content efforts are based in the Los Angeles area.
