Amgen Ties With Piper Jordan On Migraine Management

Thousand Oaks-based biotech giant Amgen said this morning that it has tied with Piper Jordan, a health and benefit consulting firm, to launch a new disease management program for people living with migraine. According to Amgen and Piper Jordan, they will launch a disease management program called "Manage My Migraine" to several large employers, representing more than 50,000 employees. The program will include an educational program, and a research study around migraine and its impact on absenteeism, presenteeism, healthcare utilization and costs. The two companies also said it will offer up a wellness program, including webinars, email tips and a website containing disease information to participants.
