AristaMD Brings Latest Funding To $24M

San Diego-based "telehealth company" AristaMD has added another $6M to the company's Series B, bringing the total to $24M, the company said on Monday. The funding came from Ascension Ventures and .406 Ventures, and comes on top of an earlier tranche of Series B funding from Cigna, MemorialCare Health System, Avalon Ventures, the University of Colorado's Healthcare Innovation Fund, and Stanford Health Care. AristaMD develops telehealth software used for virtual consultations, allowing primary care physicians to consult with medical specialists virtually. The company is led by CEO Brooke LeVasseur. (note: the company insists it is not in the "telemedicine and telehealth software" business, but a "telehealth company"). More information »
