Cameo Cuts 25 Percent Of Staff

Cameo, the celebrity personalized video startup with an office in Los Angeles--and many local, celebrities--has cut 25 percent of its workforce, the company's CEO said on Twitter. The company laid off 87 people from the company, but did not say how many were in the company's Los Angeles location versus its Chicago headquarters. Cameo is backed by Google Ventures, SoftBank Vision Fund 2, Lightspeed Venture Partners, and Kleiner Perkins. The layoffs apparently included its Chief Product Officer, Chief People Officer, Vice President of Marketing, and CTO.
