Coral Launches Vacuum Robot

Los Angeles-based Coral, a new robotics startup founded by Ted and George Ko, said today that it has launched pre-sales of a new, robotic vacuum cleaner called the Coral One. The company--which says it was founded in March--says its $649 robot is a "2-in-1" vacuum and offers both robotic vacuum cleaning as well as can be used as a handheld vacuum. The company says it will start shipping its robot in October. The company says its robot will have up to 90 minutes of battery life in "Standard" mode, with 30 minutes in a deep clean mode.
