Cornerstone OnDemand's VolunteerReady.org Team With US Disaster Groups

The Cornerstone OnDemand Foundation, the nonprofit arm of Santa Monica-based Cornerstone OnDemand, is looking to assist U.S.-based disaster response groups with its online learning portal, VolunteerReady.org, according to the group today. According to the Cornerstone OnDemand Foundation, the online site will provide training and resources free of charge to local, U.S.based disaster response organizations. The Foundation said it is working with Catholic Charities USA, Emergency Management Institute (EMI), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Mennonite Disaster Service, Points of Light, Southern Baptist Disaster Relief, Team Rubicon, The Salvation Army, and World Cares Center on the effort, to allow "spontaneous" volunteers take just-in-time training before, during and after a disaster. The Foundation says its service now offers up training on such topics as roles and responsibilities for volunteers, code of conduct, and physical safety.
