EAT Club Buys Farm Hill

EAT Club, a startup which provides delivery of food to employees of high tech and other companies, said today that they've acquired Farm Hill and its personal meal business. EAT Club, which is based in the Bay Area, says that Los Angeles is one of its two primary markets. Financial details of the buy were not announced. Farm Hill was also based in the San Francisco area. EAT Club is venture backed by August Capital, Trinity Ventures and First Round Capital, and has raised around $50M in funding. In a related move, the company said it has named Doug Leeds, former CEO of IAC Publishing, as its CEO; Leeds was most recently a Executive in Residence at August Capital, and also served at Yahoo and Overture, among other companies. EAT Club is headquartered in Redwood City.
