EDF Renewables Inks New 332MW Wind, Solar Deal

San Diego-based EDF Renewables North America has inked a new 332 megawatt (MW) wind and solar development deal, covering a wind farm in Iowa and a solar farm in Kern County. According to EDF Renewables North America, the PGGM Infrastructure Fund will acquire a 50 percent ownership in two projects, through two purchase and sale agreements. The projects are the Glacier's Edge Wind project in Iowa, and the Valentine Solar project in Kern County. EDF Renewables will continue to own 50 percent of the two projects, and also provide management, operations, and maintenance services for the sites. PGGM said the investments are part of a portfolio of investment made for PFZW, the pension fund for Dutch healthcare workers, as part of a its investments in climate solutions.
