Elon Musk's Boring Co. Raises $112.5M

The Boring Co., the startup created by Elon Musk to dig tunnels for alternative transportation systems, has raised $112.5M in a funding round, according to a regulatory filing by the firm on Monday. The funding reportedly came mostly from Elon Musk himself, along with early employees. The Boring Co. most recently has been named a finalist for a tunnel project in Chicago, and started digging a tunnel in Washington, DC.
