Eva Longoria Teams With Startup For LA-based Cookware Line

Actress and director Eva Longoria has launched a new cookware line, with the help of a San Francisco-based startup Heyday, the two said on Tuesday. According to the two, they have launched Risa, a "multi-funtional stove-to-table" cookware line. Heyday has raised over $800M in funding from The Raine Group, Premji Invest, Victory Park Capital, General Catalyst and Khosla Ventures. The move apparently is the first celebrity-ecommerce deal for Heyday; it's not uncommon among Southern California's better connected e-commmerce brands to ink celebrity partnership for their product launches. Risa is based in Los Angeles.
