Faraday Future Elevates Jia To Executive Officer

Los Angeles-based electric vehicle developer Faraday Future said late Wednesday that it has promoted founder and Chief Product and User Ecosystem Officer Yueting Jia back to Executive Officer, where he will again report to the company's Board of Directors. According to the company, Jia will serve alongside current CEO Xuefeng Chen, but will report directly to the board. Jia was previously CEO of Faraday Future, but became embroiled in a long, complex set of financial issues--including Chapter 11 bankruptcy and blacklisting by China for his financial affairs and accusations of fraud.
